Thor's Well - Mjölnir Landing Area

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Not many people realize the existence of an amazing nature place called Thor's Well. Located at Cape Perpetua, Oregon, the surf surge rock without doubt is very unique. It occurs at a moderate to high tide with strong surf. The hole can be seen from the parking area at the far end of the rock shelf on the north side of Cook's Chasm. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Thor's Well is part of Cape Perpetua, a typical Pacific Northwest headland, a forested area of land on the central Oregon Coast, surrounded by water on three sides. Thor's Well is also often simply called the Spouting Horn. Thor's Well alternately launches and swallows water as if it were a living thing. It is essentially a huge salt water fountain operated by the Pacific Ocean's power.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">This natural spectacle is at its best when it’s the most dangerous to watch, at high tide or during winter storms. Why it call Thor's Well? <div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">A family from Tokyo, settled on the sidewalk around their television, crowded by neatly organized electronic appliances, expelled closets, and prized heirloom pottery. Two wives, a husband, and their children in West Africa's Mali, on the roof of their hut with the tools of their agricultural toils. A Baptist family, smiling and clutching an illustrated Bible on the suburban road loaded with furniture and appliances in Houston, Texas. </div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">These are the slight resemblance of what had been captured by photographer Peter Menzel in his project Material World: A Global Family Portrait. Paper Version Of 1969 Ford Mustang Coupe

<div style="text-align: justify;">Brooklyn artist Jonathan Brand has constructed every single part of a 1969 Mustang coupe at 1:1 scale out of nothing but paper. Using digital drawings as a source, he printed the blueprints with a large-format inkjet printer. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The components were then meticulously cut out and folded into a wide range of objects including spark plugs, nuts and bolts, a radiator, and even the individual tire treads. <div style="text-align: justify;">Ten years ago, a coordinated terrorist attack on the United States that had been planned for years. The attackers simultaneously hijacked four large passenger aircraft with the intention of crashing them into major landmarks in the United States, inflicting as much death and destruction as possible. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Three of the planes struck their targets, the fourth crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. In a single day, these deliberate acts of mass murder killed nearly 3,000 human beings from 57 countries. More than 400 of the dead were first responders, including New York City firefighters, police officers, and EMTs.
