Modern Celebrities Vintage Pin-Up

A pin-up girl, also known as a pin-up model, is a model whose mass-produced pictures see wide appeal as popular culture. Pin-ups are intended for informal display, e.g. meant to be "pinned-up" on a wall. Pin-up girls may be glamour models, fashion models, or actresses.<br><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The term pin-up may also refer to drawings, paintings, and other illustrations done in emulation of these photos (see the list of pinup artists). The term was first attested to in English in 1941, however, the practice is documented back at least to the 1890s.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The pin-up images could be cut out of magazines or newspapers, or be from postcard or chromo-lithographs, and so on. Such photos often appear on calendars, which are meant to be pinned up anyway. Later, posters of pin-up girls were mass-produced and became an instant hit.</div><br>A gallery of modern female celebrities photographed as vintage 50′s pin-up models. Realistic Paintings By Alyssa Monks

<div style="text-align: justify;">Realistic thing always fascinating me. Previously I already features a few realistic painting or art by many artist. Here is another example of realistic art by Alyssa Monks. Using photos for loose reference, Brooklin-based artist Alyssa Monks creates incredibly realistic paintings that make viewers scratch their eyes in awe.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Alyssa Monks is one of those few talented masters that can recreate a photo from scratch using a paintbrush, as well as add their own personal touch and making an artwork really their own. <div style="text-align: justify;">David Jon Kassan. By immersing himself into his subject matter, Kassan is able to infuse his painting with life and realism. Kassan's direction of realism follows the philosophies emplyed by the Ashcan School of American Realists. Kassan's influences are varied; citing Robert Henri and John Sloan as his primary influences on philosophy and subject matter. As for style and technique he cites Antonio Lopez Garcia, Mark Rothko, Franz Kline and Clyfford Still as influences as well.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Passing by these amazing 3D paintings will make you almost believe that there are real people standing by the wall. The paintings are made in such a way that you would probably try to touch the girl that's leaning on the wall or maybe the old lady that's resting, because they seem so realistic. The most surprising thing is that the artist is only using his bare hands and painting to make such tremendous art happen.</div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFKfTaeWLLVhhdWf1qvwi2zwhLuiFyTGrEsvpfl7YNyAkoH4vCogVsUTrbXYWd4MEL8xUmNxVOJoH6x-eqNqvT-nBizS2_SLBvWms14WT1HfP6mkKZLgRLAXrDS7tjmsOngN-YBANpU6o/s1600/Realistic+Wall+Painting+003.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgFKfTaeWLLVhhdWf1qvwi2zwhLuiFyTGrEsvpfl7YNyAkoH4vCogVsUTrbXYWd4MEL8xUmNxVOJoH6x-eqNqvT-nBizS2_SLBvWms14WT1HfP6mkKZLgRLAXrDS7tjmsOngN-YBANpU6o/s640/Realistic+Wall+Painting+003.jpg" width="640"></a></div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3xCkLMcbDBK_E3rsL7Nu8_NzyiwmR3iDPaQiGnq6B8PXLm4oyoSdc4e2fMV4W-YqgMlrzIwwVcjcdfaxK1IQIznh20ITZkvh4z2MsyD0A8WwrQVAO621G4a1xo8F1UCvm3j3vtQ-lFno/s1600/Realistic+Wall+Painting+007.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh3xCkLMcbDBK_E3rsL7Nu8_NzyiwmR3iDPaQiGnq6B8PXLm4oyoSdc4e2fMV4W-YqgMlrzIwwVcjcdfaxK1IQIznh20ITZkvh4z2MsyD0A8WwrQVAO621G4a1xo8F1UCvm3j3vtQ-lFno/s640/Realistic+Wall+Painting+007.jpg" width="640"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br></div><a href="http://aibob.blogspot.com/2011/11/ultra-realistic-wall-painting.html#more">Click to read more »</a>

Bonsai Tree

<div style="text-align: justify;">Who can defy the artistry of bonsai trees? I am personally fascinated on how such magnificence comes to life. Bonsai plants look sturdy but too small to survive, however, its understated beauty represents elegance and strength in one.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Bonsai (plantings in tray, from bon, a tray or low-sided pot and sai, a planting or plantings) is a Japanese art form using miniature trees grown in containers. Similar practices exist in other cultures, including the Chinese tradition of penjing from which the art originated, and the miniature living landscapes of Vietnamese hòn non bộ. The Japanese tradition dates back over a thousand years, and has evolved its own unique aesthetics and terminology.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Bonsai is a Japanese pronunciation of the earlier Chinese term penzai. A 'bon' is a tray-like pot typically used in bonsai culture. The word bonsai is often used in English as an umbrella term for all miniature trees in containers or pots, but this article focuses on bonsai as defined in the Japanese tradition.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">A lot of people have been captivated by the appeal of bonsai plants and that makes them perfect to be given as housewarming gifts. It can also be a business gift plant which can somehow change the totality of the atmosphere. This can be good for hobbyist or for those people who are still looking for worthwhile activities.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The practice of bonsai is sometimes confused with dwarfing, but dwarfing generally refers to research, discovery, or creation of plant cultivars that are permanent, genetic miniatures of existing species. Bonsai does not require genetically dwarfed trees, but rather depends on growing small trees from regular stock and seeds. Bonsai uses cultivation techniques like pruning, root reduction, potting, defoliation, and grafting to produce small trees that mimic the shape and style of mature, full-size trees.</div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkQdqrhLoJnzUON3eTNjazNE3GCuzQ4t8L3ZNs5Y5Znj3gmwavL9OrR0ePijFIv3H2-lD5C5rfW4tPfQdoV1rCtdvBDlcukvHm27tFVuca3Uqu8_7yDaHDgW76eWUa39OILDqoASFeUQM/s1600/Juniperus_chinensis_sargentii_bonsai.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhkQdqrhLoJnzUON3eTNjazNE3GCuzQ4t8L3ZNs5Y5Znj3gmwavL9OrR0ePijFIv3H2-lD5C5rfW4tPfQdoV1rCtdvBDlcukvHm27tFVuca3Uqu8_7yDaHDgW76eWUa39OILDqoASFeUQM/s640/Juniperus_chinensis_sargentii_bonsai.JPG" width="640"></a></div><br><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvtZB12gVj80zCrjaWNFlMdw5J0LlKDbNh2EatdF86z4i5VpMFGBis8iRbNMRjUSb3fqUGY-KpEKiBT-_iGhgbZSxQPWC-g-hgK__gJt_Vi7wqnftJvbeDq9gOlheASMTyiFRr0RNzbK0/s1600/Bonsai_by_zfyreangel.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjvtZB12gVj80zCrjaWNFlMdw5J0LlKDbNh2EatdF86z4i5VpMFGBis8iRbNMRjUSb3fqUGY-KpEKiBT-_iGhgbZSxQPWC-g-hgK__gJt_Vi7wqnftJvbeDq9gOlheASMTyiFRr0RNzbK0/s640/Bonsai_by_zfyreangel.jpg" style="cursor: move;" width="640"></a><br><br><a href="http://aibob.blogspot.com/2011/11/bonsai-tree.html#more">Click to read more »</a>
