Thailand Great Flood 2011 Part IV

<div style="text-align: justify;">The massive body of water now surrounding Bangkok is continuing its long, destructive trip toward the ocean. The flood is the result of the heavy monsoon rains that drenched Southeast Asia four months ago, leaving Thailand and neighboring countries submerged and claiming more than 1,000 lives across the region. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The waters that inundated Ayutthaya to the north of Bangkok have largely receded, but suburbs to the south and west remain under threat, with evacuation notices still being issued. Central Bangkok appears to have been spared the worst of the flooding, due in part to a protective wall of sandbags some 6 km (3.7 mi) long. Thailand Great Flood 2011 Part III

<div style="text-align: justify;">The worst flooding Thailand has seen in 50 years appears to be coming down from its high-water mark, largely sparing central Bangkok while continuing to inundate surrounding suburbs and farms. Heavy monsoon rains have submerged nearly a third of the country's provinces since July, killing more than 370 people. Over the weekend, high tides and heavy flooding threatened central Bangkok, but defenses appear to have held. However, some residents in surrounding areas have expressed anger at being placed on the outside of these protective barriers and having floodwater diverted toward them. Areas west of Bangkok are still expected to be hard hit in the coming days as the last of the flooding makes its way to the sea. <div style="text-align: justify;">Heavy monsoon rains have been drenching Southeast Asia since mid-July, causing mudslides and widespread flooding. The deluge has now reached Bangkok, with rising water and associated problems affecting most of the city's 10 million residents. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra said that parts of the capital could be inundated by up to 1.5 meters of water and remain flooded for up to a month. The End Of Gaddafi

<div style="text-align: justify;">Muammar Gaddafi has been killed in fighting in Sirte, according Libya's National Transitional Council. Anti-government fighters had been closing in on Gaddafi's final stronghold in Sirte, and reportedly attacked a convoy carrying the former leader today, capturing him. Gaddafi was apparently alive at the time, but died soon afterward. Six Days Up At TV Tower

<div style="text-align: justify;">A man has been taken to hospital after spending six days up a TV tower in the US. William Sturdivant, 25, came down on Tuesday night after six days on the Clear Channel communications tower in Tulsa, Oklahoma.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">This guy, without any known reasons, climbed to this high power tower and stayed there for 6 days. Tom Cruise Cruising In Red Bull F1 Car

They also conduct special test with legendary Hollywood actor Tom Cruise. Cruise took a break from his current film project, Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, to get behind the wheel at the Willow Springs circuit in California.</div><br><div style="text-align: justify;">The seven-hour session was supervised by David Coulthard. They began by lapping the track together in a road car before Coulthard helped Cruise familiarise himself with the F1 machine, which was also supported by a 12 person crew from Red Bull's UK factory.</div><br><div style="text-align: justify;">After a total of 24 laps, with time out between track stints to compare his telemetry to Coulthard's, Cruise cut his initial lap time by an impressive 11 seconds and reached a top speed of 181 mph, just 4 mph short of Coulthard. </div><br><div style="text-align: justify;">Cruise, a long-time motorsport fan, has driven several competition cars over the years, but this was his first F1 experience.
