20th century pop music is riddled with nonsensical lyrics that nevertheless helped drive songs to the top of the charts. The medley, sponsored by music production house Equal Sonics, offers a survey of some of the biggest babble-fueled classics starting with Doo Wah Diddy Diddy, made famous in 1964 by Manfred Mann, and spanning subsequent decades to include such historical high points as Billy Joel's Piano Man and Seal's Kiss from a Rose and low points as Hanson's MMMBop and Eiffel-65's Blue.
Created by video remix artist Joe Sabia, whose portfolio also includes work for Google, the clip features singer-songwriter Jane Lui, who's had some YouTube success of her own, and Juilliard-trained musicians Michael T. and Jonathan Batiste. Overall, it's incredibly fun.
