Celebrity Caught Smoking

<div style="text-align: justify;">Back in the day, it was cool to smoke. Everywhere you went people were smoking. Hospitals even had smoking sections. It wouldn't be strange to see your favorite actor or actress puffing away during an interview promoting their newest film. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Now, seeing a celebrity smoking is about as rare as seeing a unicorn tap dancing with a leprechaun. Smoking is frowned upon and to keep up their ultra sexy appearances celebrity smokers have to sneak off when no one is looking to steal a smoke. But the paparazzi is everywhere, and they catch even this rare breed no matter where they hide. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The following gallery is dedicated to the nearly extinct clan of celebrity smokers.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPShqTj2n3k0R9CAB8HVU9GJHSHhsb6jz_aO920-qYHKXUcYBA7r_x5o7X5n9GyIbxe_Nwv2jT-ZNSzuQhNHrBjw7ztNMNUf6sQpDPEJQ0qabF8XiAqur-YJNmaneePJVFBrFLduXIZL2T/s1600/celebrity_smokers_021.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="534" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiPShqTj2n3k0R9CAB8HVU9GJHSHhsb6jz_aO920-qYHKXUcYBA7r_x5o7X5n9GyIbxe_Nwv2jT-ZNSzuQhNHrBjw7ztNMNUf6sQpDPEJQ0qabF8XiAqur-YJNmaneePJVFBrFLduXIZL2T/s640/celebrity_smokers_021.jpg" width="640"></a></div><br><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWBYE45r0T7NYqtt-T3feLJmIH90qMMwSfAFHOXaKjnrlnQ3ksQy5o8qiqJiNlqlNTINjrykOcwcm4h16O4YQrglOe_II5S0zyLA2k38tMD2TqMv0RQBaxTgCx0GuOxEnHUMtgchpTvG2F/s1600/celebrity_smokers_013.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgWBYE45r0T7NYqtt-T3feLJmIH90qMMwSfAFHOXaKjnrlnQ3ksQy5o8qiqJiNlqlNTINjrykOcwcm4h16O4YQrglOe_II5S0zyLA2k38tMD2TqMv0RQBaxTgCx0GuOxEnHUMtgchpTvG2F/s640/celebrity_smokers_013.jpg" width="640"></a></div><br><a href="http://aibob.blogspot.com/2011/11/celebrity-caught-smoking.html#more">Click to read more »</a>

1901 - Construction Of RMS Titanic

<div style="text-align: justify;">RMS Titanic was a passenger liner that struck an iceberg on her maiden voyage from Southampton, England, to New York City, and sank on 15 April 1912, resulting in the deaths of 1,517 people in one of the deadliest peacetime maritime disasters in history.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The largest passenger steamship in the world at the time, the Olympic-class RMS Titanic was owned by the White Star Line and constructed at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, Ireland, UK. After setting sail for New York City on 10 April 1912 with 2,223 people on board, she hit the iceberg four days into the crossing, at 11:40 pm on 14 April 1912, and sank at 2:20 am the following morning. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Titanic was designed by experienced engineers, using some of the most advanced technologies and extensive safety features of the time. The sinking of a passenger liner on her maiden voyage, the high loss of life and media frenzy over Titanic's famous victims, the legends about the sinking, the resulting changes in maritime law, and the discovery of the wreck have all contributed to the enduring interest in Titanic.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Titanic was built at the Harland and Wolff shipyard in Belfast, UK, and designed to compete with the rival Cunard Line's Lusitania and Mauretania. Titanic, along with her Olympic-class sisters, Olympic and the soon-to-be-built Britannic (originally named Gigantic), were intended to be the largest, most luxurious ships ever to sail. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The designers were Lord Pirrie, a director of both Harland and Wolff and White Star, naval architect Thomas Andrews, Harland and Wolff's construction manager and head of their design department, and the Right Honourable Alexander Carlisle, the shipyard's chief draughtsman and general manager. Carlisle's responsibilities included the decorations, equipment and all general arrangements, including the implementation of an efficient lifeboat davit design. </div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuy1PAKF457vSXke371VSZD9pR-m4wCa9IJh46piklXMAsJqGUj-8oIZINOciKSB8TICVYwDByv84EJmMFgy9olFQVNzx78lBOlkdvB7z0Tlm38vOpJCZQnESFFB46GQrEsaXwzDwAvdK0/s1600/proxy.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjuy1PAKF457vSXke371VSZD9pR-m4wCa9IJh46piklXMAsJqGUj-8oIZINOciKSB8TICVYwDByv84EJmMFgy9olFQVNzx78lBOlkdvB7z0Tlm38vOpJCZQnESFFB46GQrEsaXwzDwAvdK0/s1600/proxy.jpg" width="640"></a></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEia-diORem2NfGoEoyOl_pAqFekTpBdvv3xAvJEEtWmZZCmih6k8dfNnLcbmie3yroT8h8Fd97nFYAJVeAX57nihGOFb24CzJN0f8S7w2exwvEu7nVHn6c5k_xci6_5aG0sqG2NEmCGYNSp/s1600/proxy+%25281%2529.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEia-diORem2NfGoEoyOl_pAqFekTpBdvv3xAvJEEtWmZZCmih6k8dfNnLcbmie3yroT8h8Fd97nFYAJVeAX57nihGOFb24CzJN0f8S7w2exwvEu7nVHn6c5k_xci6_5aG0sqG2NEmCGYNSp/s1600/proxy+%25281%2529.jpg" width="640"></a></div><br><a href="http://aibob.blogspot.com/2011/10/1901-construction-of-rms-titanic.html#more">Click to read more »</a>

1954 - Construction Of Disneyland

<div style="text-align: justify;">Disneyland Park is a theme park located in Anaheim, California, owned and operated by the Walt Disney Parks and Resorts division of the Walt Disney Company. Known as Disneyland when it opened on July 18, 1955, and still almost universally referred to by that name, it is the only theme park to be designed and built under the direct supervision of Walt Disney.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Walt Disney came up with the concept of Disneyland after visiting various amusement parks with his daughters in the 1930s and 1940s. He initially envisioned building a tourist attraction adjacent to his studios in Burbank to entertain fans who wished to visit; however, he soon realized that the proposed site was too small. After hiring a consultant to help determine an appropriate site for his project, Walt bought a 160-acre (65 ha) site near Anaheim in 1953. Construction began in 1954 and the park was unveiled during a special televised press event on July 17, 1955.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Disneyland has a larger cumulative attendance than any other theme park in the world, with close to 600 million guests since it opened. Vintage And Rare Photos Of Kuala Lumpur

<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: justify;">Kuala Lumpur is the capital and the second largest city in Malaysia by population. The city proper, making up an area of 243 km2 (94 sq mi), has a population of 1.4 million as of 2010. Greater Kuala Lumpur, also known as the Klang Valley, is an urban agglomeration of 7.2 million. It is the fastest growing metropolitan region in the country, in terms of population and economy.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Kuala Lumpur has its origins in the 1850s, when the Malay Chief of Klang, Raja Abdullah, hired some Chinese labourers to open new and larger tin mines for tin prospectors. The miners landed at the confluence of Sungai Gombak and Sungai Klang to open mines at Ampang, Pudu and Batu. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">During the early times, Kuala Lumpur had many problems, including the Selangor Civil War; it was also plagued by diseases and constant fires and floods. Around the 1870s, the third Chinese Kapitan of Kuala Lumpur, Yap Ah Loy, emerged as leader, and became responsible for the survival and subsequent systematic growth of this town. He began to develop Kuala Lumpur from a small, obscure settlement into a booming mining town. In 1880, the state capital of Selangor was moved from Klang to the more strategically advantageous Kuala Lumpur.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Collection of photos of vintage Kuala Lumpur.</div><br><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMyM8LUT8Z9oy08qG_9oatzr25KPCtQF2pDOKkcqspp8E5AjFPTt_GYYMpgfSfgD-zazgaHmDnnKvnQSdBd_5h0a7BxhRWQdk4odsa7oXkzkr8e1ESTkQzSRHKjABl07sgCXavccrQagr4/s1600/1870s+-+Kuala+Lumpur+-+Brickfields.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="376" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMyM8LUT8Z9oy08qG_9oatzr25KPCtQF2pDOKkcqspp8E5AjFPTt_GYYMpgfSfgD-zazgaHmDnnKvnQSdBd_5h0a7BxhRWQdk4odsa7oXkzkr8e1ESTkQzSRHKjABl07sgCXavccrQagr4/s640/1870s+-+Kuala+Lumpur+-+Brickfields.jpg" width="640"></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i>1870s - Kuala Lumpur - Brickfields</i></td></tr></tbody></table><table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9t1zNw1sKg3DUjMFDTHjAJu3HDW75TE156mnTHkBqkFOxp78eRwZwVWQW__K_DHEIqYOTqQIFzZqnJ36LzNmgnFckAQwdMYEkPkeGXyMj0fhYp9g2Cr2HAmXrcDtIPO20ngXjt8T_7q-3/s1600/1880s+-+Kuala+Lumpur+-+Bukit+Nanas.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" height="508" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg9t1zNw1sKg3DUjMFDTHjAJu3HDW75TE156mnTHkBqkFOxp78eRwZwVWQW__K_DHEIqYOTqQIFzZqnJ36LzNmgnFckAQwdMYEkPkeGXyMj0fhYp9g2Cr2HAmXrcDtIPO20ngXjt8T_7q-3/s640/1880s+-+Kuala+Lumpur+-+Bukit+Nanas.jpg" width="640"></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><i>1880s - Kuala Lumpur - Bukit Nanas</i></td></tr></tbody></table><a href="http://aibob.blogspot.com/2011/10/vintage-and-rare-photos-of-kuala-lumpur.html#more">Click to read more »</a>

Vintage Colour Photos Of 1940s-1950s Circus

<div style="text-align: justify;">These vintage shots are some of the earlier color photographs of circus folk you'll ever see. Rare Photos Of Nicholas II And Family

Nicholas II (18 May 1868 – 17 July 1918) was the last Emperor of Russia, Grand Prince of Finland, and titular King of Poland. His official title was Nicholas II, Emperor and Autocrat of All the Russia and he is known as Saint Nicholas the Passion-Bearer by the Russian Orthodox Church.<br><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Nicholas II ruled from 1894 until his abdication on 15 March 1917. His reign saw Imperial Russia go from being one of the foremost great powers of the world to economic and military collapse. Critics nicknamed him Bloody Nicholas because of the Khodynka Tragedy, Bloody Sunday, the anti-Semitic pogroms, his execution of political opponents, and his pursuit of military campaigns on a hitherto unprecedented scale. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Under his rule, Russia was defeated in the Russo-Japanese War, including the almost total annihilation of the Russian fleet at the Battle of Tsushima. As head of state, he approved the Russian mobilization of August 1914, which marked the first fatal step into World War I, a war in which 3.3 million Russians would be killed, thus leading to the demise of the Romanov dynasty less than three years later.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Nicholas II abdicated following the February Revolution of 1917 during which he and his family were imprisoned first in the Alexander Palace at Tsarskoye Selo, then later in the Governor's Mansion in Tobolsk, and finally at the Ipatiev House in Yekaterinburg.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">Nicholas II, his wife, his son, his four daughters, the family's medical doctor, the Tsar's valet, the Empress' lady-in-waiting, and the family's cook were murdered in the same room by the Bolsheviks on the night of 16/17 July 1918. This led to the canonization of Nicholas II, his wife the Empress and their children as martyrs by various groups tied to the Russian Orthodox Church within Russia and, prominently, outside Russia.</div><br><div style="text-align: justify;">Here is a set of unique are rare photos of the Tsar family from the archive of Anna Vyrubova.</div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpQ5Iy4qK_TFEJrxIcHA7-z8hg8Ii5njW0VBn59xbGhKsfMImo8zMjkOMbsMM2t5PNKDjaOMRSaNsc02apqz1Xs2eYKbwB8UQd6PMaRsp2-XeibcqlOlEh0oQD6QgdoEKBOlbdS2SV9wg/s1600/Romanov-Family-Rare-001.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhpQ5Iy4qK_TFEJrxIcHA7-z8hg8Ii5njW0VBn59xbGhKsfMImo8zMjkOMbsMM2t5PNKDjaOMRSaNsc02apqz1Xs2eYKbwB8UQd6PMaRsp2-XeibcqlOlEh0oQD6QgdoEKBOlbdS2SV9wg/s640/Romanov-Family-Rare-001.jpg" width="638"></a></div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUR0zHj3glM7Nj9pXmJz9siSkVR5-PdySHxBTxCdUpEnxlhD4CALQTqmfoG2aIOAi9Sb4MwW-AusiyOMCKuOxvUOSh6JZzuXZoDPLi4fc3GEG2D7u8j6v9GiwqGpOYhGibptF2vc_uDsM/s1600/Romanov-Family-Rare-002.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgUR0zHj3glM7Nj9pXmJz9siSkVR5-PdySHxBTxCdUpEnxlhD4CALQTqmfoG2aIOAi9Sb4MwW-AusiyOMCKuOxvUOSh6JZzuXZoDPLi4fc3GEG2D7u8j6v9GiwqGpOYhGibptF2vc_uDsM/s640/Romanov-Family-Rare-002.jpg" width="626"></a></div><br><a href="http://aibob.blogspot.com/2011/09/ramonov.html#more">Click to read more »</a>
