The Real Mrs. Norris - The Cat Of Hogwarts

<div style="text-align: justify;">I always wonder what kind of cat is Mrs Norris is. In the movies Mrs Norris seems to be very cold and mysterious. I also believe that there must be more than one cat in the movies. Turn out, my guess is correct. As cat is more difficult to train compare to dog, more than one cat is require in case one of the cat don't follow order.<br><br>Mrs. Norris is the pet cat of Argus Filch, the caretaker of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. J. K. Rowling (the creator of the Harry Potter fantasy series) said she obtained the name Mrs Norris from a character in Jane Austen's Mansfield Park, who is similarly odious and is hanging around in the background a lot.</div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig_PiL5QgCBQiKzUvYUG9Q3AC55Ku45qZ6M7bt2G7maoZ_PoqMBQNHHu2RaaVYjE9TH1SYhcqyiiqKCPHr_JhlHH0E7d-Y5Cagpvay5wlUtBX9cVV-whI5IVDLOD8CCXFEcEg_dLgivpM/s1600/Mrs__Norris_by_DownedSystem.gif" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="424" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEig_PiL5QgCBQiKzUvYUG9Q3AC55Ku45qZ6M7bt2G7maoZ_PoqMBQNHHu2RaaVYjE9TH1SYhcqyiiqKCPHr_JhlHH0E7d-Y5Cagpvay5wlUtBX9cVV-whI5IVDLOD8CCXFEcEg_dLgivpM/s640/Mrs__Norris_by_DownedSystem.gif" width="640"></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">In the book, Mrs. Norris is described as having an unusually strong connection with her master, alerting him to any students misbehaving inside the school grounds. Mrs. Norris is described as appearing almost the same way as Filch, with bulging yellow, lamp-like eyes, a scrawny, skeletal body and dust-coloured fur. </div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgA7TXpQ3eyigwKc66NGrftXy-QCH6ZmzzelZXVEsmKhatPR54epn58ivgvkSVGFXPrOKaT96gKbK0rCvWhKlGFIBuG7i62S-cLneAZOgMLA3147KJmBs4DLrVTVz0EJQ4pXSe8UuIA2WA/s1600/Filch-Norris.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgA7TXpQ3eyigwKc66NGrftXy-QCH6ZmzzelZXVEsmKhatPR54epn58ivgvkSVGFXPrOKaT96gKbK0rCvWhKlGFIBuG7i62S-cLneAZOgMLA3147KJmBs4DLrVTVz0EJQ4pXSe8UuIA2WA/s640/Filch-Norris.jpg" width="520"></a></div><div style="text-align: justify;"><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;">The real Mrs. Norris however, was played by three Maine Coon cats. The Maine Coon you see roaming the halls most often in Harry Potter and The Sorcer’s Stone is a cat named Pebbles, Tommy and Tygerlily from Kittycoonz Cattery in Southern England. Tommy the big brother of Tygerlily. In sharp contrast to Mrs. Norris's description in the books as being scrawny, Maine Coons are a large, stocky breed.<br><br></div><div style="text-align: justify;"></div><a href="http://aibob.blogspot.com/2011/08/real-mrs-norris-cat-of-hogwarts.html#more">Click to read more »</a>
