Cat are know species with great climbing ability. A cat climbing trees is just a cat doing its thing and cats are damn good at it. It may be that cats climb trees for fun, on occasion, or possibly to work on improving their climbing abilities. Climbing practice is good for cats, it can improve their strength and flexibility and teach them an important defensive skill.
However, in urban location where instead of tree there is a lot of high fence, even a good cat might find it a problem. That is what happen to bengangooly mum's cat. The cat was having problems getting over the fence. And the solution is epic. A cat stairs to heaven.
